The popular French computer journal SVM recently conducted a test of nine anti-virus programs produced by leading manufacturers. The competition resulted in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 4.0 showing the best results and being awarded the editor's top rating.
The testing targeted anti-virus products for home use; among the products surveyed were McAfee VirusScan, Norman Virus Control, Aladdin eSafe Desktop, Norton AntiVirus, F-Prot, Trend PC-Cillin, and Panda Antivirus Platinum. For testing Kaspersky Lab presented a solution for experienced users, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal, the latest version of which was released in the first quarter of 2002.
