AV-Comparatives, an independent organization offering systematic testing that checks whether security software lives up to its promises, has granted Kaspersky Next EDR Expert (on-premises) Certified status in its EDR Detection Validation Certification Test. Kaspersky was the first vendor to accept the invitation to participate, facing the challenge of undergoing the assessment without prior benchmarks from other vendors.

AV-Comparatives’ EDR Detection Validation Certification Test is a new test of the agency. It includes a full attack scenario consisting of 14 steps and several sub-steps, as well as a Signal-to-Noise assessment. According to the test methodology, Kaspersky Next EDR Expert was configured in Detection Only mode to accurately assess its capabilities in identifying each technique used in the attack steps, and the solution successfully detected multiple techniques used in this tested attack scenario.
