The Kaspersky
team invites cybersecurity specialists once again to join the Kaspersky
Security Analyst Summit (SAS) to discuss the changes in the IT security
landscape and share their knowledge on recent, sophisticated threats. Our rich
conference program is spread over two days and will take place on September
28-29, 2021.
The SAS Conference is an annual
event that unites renowned IT security researchers, global law enforcement, academia
and government agencies. It aims to improve collaboration in the fight against
cyber-crime, making the SAS Conference the ideal place for debate, information
sharing and display of cutting-edge research.
Many of us have been waiting for
the conference to return offline but after evaluating the risks of the pandemic,
the organizers have decided to move the event online. After two successful
editions, the Security Analyst Summit will take place virtually on September
28-29 between 16:00 to 20:00 CET. The program of the conference will cover the most
crucial cybersecurity trends observed during the past year. The attendees will
receive an exclusive opportunity to explore recent and freshly discovered APTs,
insights, and cases of using threat intelligence.
During the conference, the experts
will discuss pressing topics that have bugged us throughout 2021 - from supply
chain attacks to commercial spyware. In addition to presenting vulnerability
and threat research, the panelists will hold several workshops and new
trainings to help threat hunters become better cybersecurity professionals.
Topics that will be covered during the SAS include:
- Advanced persistent threats
- Threat hunting
- Emerging threats
In addition to Kaspersky speakers, the program features experts from PwC, Mandiant, Nex, Group IB, Sourcegraph, NTT Security (Japan) KK and Yandex.
“Considering all the risks that are still out the, we are sad to announce that we will be unable to meet in person at this year’s SAS. Still, there is a strong need for the cybersecurity community to connect and exchange knowledge - that is why we made the decision to hold SAS 2021 online. We have received a lot of positive feedback from our two previous virtual conferences and return with a new and improved program,” comments Sergey Novikov, the deputy director of Kaspersky’s GReAT. ‘This time, we will include trainings prepared especially for SAS. Third time is a charm, so we hope this will be the last time we meet from our homes rather than on the beach with a couple of beers in our hands’.
