Kaspersky Lab Signs U.S. Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro

June 23, 2011

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, is pleased to announce a new distribution relationship for the United States with Ingram Micro Inc.

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, is pleased to announce a new distribution relationship for the United States with Ingram Micro Inc., (NYSE: IM) the world’s largest technology distributor. The link-up will allow Kaspersky Lab to drive a deeper relationship with VARs and systems integrators across the United States, and is the most recent example of Kaspersky Lab’s 100-percent commitment to its channel partners.

“Entering into the agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. is a great contribution to Kaspersky Lab’s global channel development, as our new partner has worldwide presence as well as high market recognition,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab. “I believe that the partnership of the world’s largest technology distributor and world’s largest privately held security vendor will be mutually productive and will definitely bring a lot to the market in the U.S.”

As demand for Kaspersky Lab security technologies continues to grow in corporations and large enterprises, Ingram Micro is well positioned to support Kaspersky Lab’s growth and help the company meet the needs of even more end-users and partners. By distributing its award-winning security software through Ingram Micro, Kaspersky Lab can serve a broader range of end-users at midsize and large-enterprise organizations. This distribution relationship also creates opportunities for VARs that purchase software exclusively from Ingram Micro, and have been unable to sell Kaspersky Lab software until now.

According to Eric Kohl, Senior Director, Advanced Technology Division, Ingram Micro U.S.: “Kaspersky Lab’s portfolio of security solutions is a great addition to Ingram Micro’s Networking /Security Business Unit. Over the years we’ve seen an increased demand from our channel partners for Kaspersky Lab’s technology. This demand, combined with Kaspersky Lab’s growth goals and our continued focus on advanced technologies makes this agreement well timed.” Under the new agreement, the Ingram Micro Advanced Technology Division and in particular the Networking/Security Business Unit will market, sell and support Kaspersky Open Space Security, the company’s full lineup of corporate security solutions, including centrally managed mobile security applications. Kaspersky Open Space Security offers a full range of tightly integrated end-to-end protection solutions, ensuring unified protection across the entire network. The system is built to work seamlessly together – from endpoint and mobile device protection to file server, mail server, network storage and gateway protection – providing flexible centralized management, immediate threat visibility to all corners of the enterprise and a level of responsiveness not seen in other anti-malware approaches.

The line-up includes products supporting the latest versions of operating systems and applications popular among business customers, along with support for virtualization and hierarchical data storage. At the core of the system is Kaspersky Lab’s enhanced centralized management system, offering convenient automated deployment, efficient monitoring, seamless updating, and simplified multi-platform management, maintenance and reporting.
