One of the World's Leading Anti-Virus Analysts Joins Kaspersky Lab
Cambridge, UK, November 2, 2000 - Kaspersky Lab Int., an international anti-virus software development company, announces that Costin Raiu, one of the world's most prominent anti-virus experts, has joined Kaspersky Lab's anti-virus research team.
Costin
Raiu has been involved in virus research and the developing of anti-virus technologies
for more than 6 years. He is a member of CARO (Computer Antivirus Researchers'
Organization) - today one of the most authoritative international organizations
comprising the world's most prominent anti-virus analysts. Mr. Raiu is a member
of the advisory board for the British magazine Virus Bulletin, which
is known to be an extensive and trustworthy international publication on computer
virus prevention, recognition and removal. He has written and published many
papers and essays on data security and computer viruses.
Before joining Kaspersky Lab, Mr. Raiu was a leading anti-virus developer at GeCAD Software, a Romania-based company, which is now predominant in the local software market. He was involved in developing many unique anti-virus technologies that propelled GeCAD Software into one of the notable players in the industry.
