Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces the success of the first ever conference for its partners from Eastern Europe and Turkey, which was held on 18-19 June. The conference, entitled “Change for the Better”, took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and was attended by more than 40 visitors from 10 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

During the conference, presentations were delivered by Evgeny Kaspersky, the company’s CEO, Garry Kondakov, Managing Director EEMEA, Teodor Cimpoesu, Head of Romanian regional office, Keith Maskell, VP Corporate Business, and others. The reports covered modern web threats, cybercrime, market and competitive analysis, near-term corporate strategy, and comprehensive support of Kaspersky Lab’s partners in the region.

This event’s primary purpose was to bring together Kaspersky Lab’s regional partners for both formal and informal discussion on a whole range of issues that are of mutual interest to the company and partners. “For Kaspersky Lab, Eastern Europe is one of priority regions. Last year, Romania and Turkey demonstrated a sales growth of 160%, while the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Cyprus showed a 70% increase. These are outstanding numbers; however, we think there is still a lot of room to improve. We will remain dedicated to enhance our cooperation with our partners in this region”, says Garry Kondakov.

“Turkey is a bridge between Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This country holds an enormous potential. We intend to keep increasing our sales progressively, and even improve on last year’s substantial sales growth. I am sure that Kaspersky Lab, with its reliable partners, will take their products to the top in the Turkish market,” says Murat Göçe, Head of Kaspersky Lab's regional office in Turkey.

“Despite the fact that ex-Yugoslavian republics, Greece and Cyprus are not the countries with enormous markets, we do consider them as the countries with big potential and we intend to strengthen our position in all channels. I’m quite sure that we have all the necessary tools to develop and expand relations with our partners in the region”, - said Marina Ievleva, Channel Sales Manager, Kaspersky Lab EEMEA.

“We have demonstrated a rapid growth in the first year of our presence in Romania and Bulgaria. We assure our partners at this conference that we continue to develop and invest in production,” Teodor Cimpoesu emphasized.

Traditionally, Kaspersky Lab has given awards to its last year’s best partners in 10 categories:

  1. Up-and-coming Partner of the Year: Dossev&Co, Bulgaria;
  2. Most Active Promotion of KL Products: E-Data, Turkey;
  3. Best Expertise in Business Tenders: Ager Business Tech, Romania;
  4. Most Regionally Diverse Sales: Dunum, Serbia;
  5. Fastest Growing Partner: Punkt NET, Romania;
  6. Strategic Partner of the Year: Gecad Net, Romania;
  7. Best Retail Partner: Penta, Turkey;
  8. Best Corporate Partner: Singi, Serbia;
