Kaspersky today received an appreciation award for its contribution into building a more cyber resilient world and partnership with Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) Alliance of Public PrivAte Cybercrime sTakeholders (APPACT).
The APPACT is a public-private industry platform established by the SPF CyberCrime Command’s (CCC) to exchange information among partners on suspicious cybercrime activities and latest trends.
Kaspersky first joined APPACT in 2022, and has actively partnered with the SPF in building capacity and capabilities of the local law enforcement ecosystem. In addition, the company has been an active supporter in detecting and preventing cybercrime, sharing technical expertise and threat intelligence data with the agency.
Kaspersky has been a long-time contributor into the analysis of the most advanced cyberthreats. Earlier this year, Kaspersky researchers reported on a new mobile Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) campaign dubbed as “Operation Triangulation.” This operation specifically targeted iOS devices via iMessage using a previously unknown malware. In addition, Kaspersky experts have detailed the spyware implants reported, issued warnings to the public, and released a utility to detect this infection.
This is the second consecutive year Kaspersky is receiving this award along technology companies such as Paypal, Meta, Google, and Lazada and other cybersecurity industry leaders.
On receiving the award, Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky, said: “We are honored to have won an APPACT Appreciation Award for the second year running. The award recognizes our ongoing mission to build a safer world through partnerships across the global cybersecurity ecosystem – with both the public and private sectors plus national law enforcement agencies worldwide. The most effective approach in building such a safer world and deterring cybercrime is through collaboration. We will continue to share our experience, expertise and technical findings to combat cybercrime worldwide, and we are proud to collaborate with the Singapore Police Force in this great cause.”
