Kaspersky Lab Int. has reduced price of AVP for Linux Workstation by 50%.

Cambridge, UK, 18 October 2000, - Kaspersky Lab Int., an international anti-virus software development company, announces the significant price reduction of AntiViral Toolkit Pro (AVP) for Linux Workstation for home users. The new price for a one-year subscription is only $49.95, offering users a 50% reduction from the previous price.

"Kaspersky Lab consistently combines competitive pricing and superior technology in its products. We strive to maintain this level of service and build our pricing policy to meet the specific needs of both corporate customers and home users. We believe the new price will make AVP even more popular among individual PC owners," said Vsevolod Ivanov, Kaspersky Lab Marketing Director.

Even with the significant reduction in price, AVP for Linux Workstation will still include all the functionality and support available in the current product. During the subscription period, users will receive all anti-virus database updates (daily, weekly, and cumulative), guaranteed cure-module provision (within 24 hours from virus discovery), and round-the-clock technical support via e-mail.

The product composition will also remain the same. AVP for Linux Workstation consists of the AVP Scanner (checking disks on demand or using a third-party scheduler); a new interactive user interface, the AVP Tuner; AVP Updates, enabling users to easily download daily anti-virus database updates via the Internet; and also Lite versions of the AVP Daemon and an on-access scanner, the AVP Monitor.

AVP for Linux Workstation will be available at the new price at the Kaspersky Lab online-store. You can also obtain the product through authorised Kaspersky Lab partners and resellers. The announced price will come into effect on 1 November 2000.
