Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, announces that Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, has participated in the 23rd Annual FIRST Conference, one of the world’s leading IT security events, as a keynote speaker. The event was held in Vienna on 12 - 17 June 2011.
The annual FIRST conference enables leading security experts to meet their peers and facilitate cooperation across corporate disciplines and geographical boundaries. FIRST conference participants include not only security experts but also IT managers, network and system administrators, software and hardware vendors, law enforcement representatives, security solutions providers, telecommunications organizations, ISPs, and general computer and network security personnel.
This year’s panel discussions and keynote addresses focused on advanced techniques in security incident prevention, detection and response, and the latest advances in computer and network security tools. The participants also shared their views and resolutions in the field of computer security incident response services.
In his keynote presentation “Cloud Security vs. Cybercrime Economy: The Kaspersky Vision”, Eugene Kaspersky gave an overview of the current global security landscape and shared his vision of the latest innovations in technology and the best way to fight global cybercrime, with the emphasis on cloud security as one of the most effective solutions.
