This initiative has facilitated over 360,000 downloads of decryption tools, assisting nearly two million ransomware victims to recover their data without paying ransoms — a clear testament to the power of public-private cooperation.
In 2023, during INTERPOL's operation targeting cybercrime in Africa, Kaspersky’s threat intelligence played a pivotal role in identifying compromised infrastructure and apprehending cybercriminals across the region. This operation led to the arrest of 14 perpetrators and the disruption of networks responsible for over $40 million in economic losses, underscoring the critical role of shared intelligence and collaborative enforcement actions in reducing the global impact of cybercrime.
